horror geek meets vargas girl meets zombie meets sailor.

Zombies are a sub-obsession birthed from the horror one, but I've time for all incarnations of the genre. I love gore and adore being scared.

Some of the scariest shit I've seen is from old British public information films. Chilling stuff.

Being a gorehound does not change the fact I bloody well hate it when the dog dies in horror movies though. I'm a huge animal lover and yes, I understand it's a canny plot device to kill off the pet, but all the same it makes me sad. I've always sworn that if I ever make my own horror flick, I'll make a point of leaving the doggy alive.

Also really digging issues of gender representation in the genre (and film generally) lately.

Considering undertaking a mission to be a scream queen.

Always open to recommendations!

Note: I may spoil! Be aware that although I'll try not to give HUGE plot points or twists away, I want to be able to talk freely on here.

Awards

"Just wanted to say that I love your blog; I find it to be fascinating, informative and humorous, which is always a winning combination. In that spirit, I would very much like to pass on to you a blog award" - Jinx from Totally Jinxed!

"You should already be in love with this blog based on the title alone. You can go lots of places and read horror reviews, but Ms. Finlay has her own unique spin on things. Even if it's a film I've read twenty other reviews on, I always appreciate her perspective. Also another Final Girl Film Clubber!" - Mother Firefly from Mother Firefly's Faster Pussycats!
